The predecessor of Wengfu (Group) Co., Ltd. is Guizhou Hongfu Industrial Development Co., Ltd. Its main body is Guizhou Wengfu Mineral Fertilizer Base, which is one of the five phosphate fertilizer bases built during the "Eighth Five-Year Plan" and "Ninth Five-Year Plan". The construction of Wengfu mineral fertilizer base started in 1990 and was completed and put into operation in 2000. In 2008, Hongfu Co., Ltd. was renamed Wengfu (Group)Co., Ltd. with a registered capital of 4.088 billion yuan.
