Special polyacrylamide flocculant for construction mud treatment

Polyacrylamide products are known as Baiye additives. Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a water-soluble polymer that is insoluble in most organic solvents. It has good flocculation and can reduce the friction resistance between liquids. It can be classified according to ionic characteristics. It is divided into four types: non-ionic, anionic, cationic and amphoteric. In recent years, it has been used more and more widely in the construction field, polyacrylamide flocculant.


Nowadays, the scale of cities is getting bigger and bigger, and the amount and types of mud are more and more, bigger and bigger. Building piling, tunnels and caves will produce a lot of mud, and the mud contains a lot of suspended liquid of fine mud particles. . The characteristics of mud depend on its composition and are related to local geological conditions. Polyacrylamide is used as a mud-water separator in infrastructure, which can play a good flocculation effect, and is a flocculant for construction mud treatment.

The sedimentation tank method used in the industry in the past has a large area, long processing time, difficult extraction of sludge, more difficult to settle, and serious pollution of the water body by direct discharge; the high cost of the tanker truck method cannot fundamentally solve the problem.

In recent years, most of this process system has been used in mud collection tanks, coagulation tanks, clear liquid tanks, sediment separation systems, dosing systems, drainage systems, and slag discharge systems.

Its working principle is: the mud is collected through the pipeline and flows into the sedimentation tank, pretreated by the mud dehydrator, to remove most of the fine sand and part of the mud in the mud water, and the filtrate enters the secondary sedimentation tank through the drainage system. The second settling tank must be treated with flocculants. After the mud water is processed by the dehydrator, the water in the clear liquid tank can be directly returned to the system, truly zero discharge. When the sludge concentration is high, the mud dewatering process is directly carried out. Generally, a coagulant needs to be added to increase the filterability of the sludge and to ensure sufficient dispersibility of polyacrylamide in the mud, which can improve the flocculation and sedimentation effect and better promote Mud and water separation.

In infrastructure construction, anionic polyacrylamide or cationic should be selected according to the characteristics of the mud. The mud in different regions should be selected by small-scale experiments to select the polyacrylamide products suitable for the customer's on-site use. At present, most mud treatments are treated with anionic polyacrylamide. According to our long-term experiment summary, the hydrolysis degree of anionic polyacrylamide suitable for mud treatment is between 25-40%, and the mud flocculation treatment effect is better.
