1. Storage time:

With the increase of storage time, the more degradation of PAM solution, the lower the viscosity, and the worse the flocculation effect. Generally, anionic polyacrylamide solution can be stored for 7 days, and cationic polyacrylamide solution can be stored for 24 hours. This is due to the hydrolysis of amide groups and the increase in hydroxyl content. Especially the influence of cationic groups is more obvious. As the rigidity of the molecular chain increases, the amide group removes NH3 to generate an imide group.  

2. Temperature influence:

0.1 liquid, when the temperature reaches 80-90℃, the molecular weight of 18 million will be degraded to about 5 million within 2-4 hours, and the degradation will become faster and faster as the temperature rises. Stable performance at room temperature of 25°C.

3. Mechanical effect:

Stirring can increase the dissolution speed of PAM dry powder. High-intensity stirring speed will cut off the molecular chain of polyacrylamide. It is recommended to control the stirring speed to 60 rpm online instead of using high-intensity stirring equipment and high-speed conveying equipment.

4. The influence of light:

Light will increase the temperature, dissolve and degrade polyacrylamide, while the direct reflection of ultraviolet rays will rapidly degrade and dissolve. Direct exposure to strong light for 3-5 hours will reduce the molecular weight of pam by 30-50.

5. The influence of impurities:

To dissolve PAM dry powder, it is preferable to use neutral water. The water hardness or impurities will affect the viscosity and application effect of PAM.
